WebThis natural covenction dryer is a large scale structure: the collector is 4.5 meters long and 7 meters wide and the drying bin is 1 meter long and 7 meters wide. The structure consists of three main components: a solar collector, a drying bin and a solar chimney. The drying bin in this design is made of bamboo matting. WebDirectional vanes are located inside the dryer to direct the air to circulate through the trays. In one design, the hot air passes over the bottom tray first, before passing over the second, and so on up to the top of the cabinet. In simple designs, the lower trays can therefore dry out first.
